Sticking to the topic of content marketing which we addressed in yesterday’s article, “Content Marketing; Build It & They Will Come,” a 2011 study published recently by the Content Marketing Institute suggests that content marketing is becoming one of the biggest growing fields in marketing with many marketers relying on content strategy for their campaigns’ overall successes.
The study titled, The Content Marketing Explosion, reveals that 60 percent of business-to-business marketers plan to spend more money utilizing content marketing this year while 90 percent of them already use content marketing.
According to the study, the most used content strategy by marketers is article posting (79%) followed by social media, excluding blogs, (74%), blogs (65%), e-Newsletters (63%), case studies (58%), and in-person events (56%).
Here’s one last fact, 26% of B2B marketers’ budget is spent on content marketing whereas small businesses allocate an even larger portion of their budgets to the field.
